What gets stored

Cookies

The whole inventory fits in one short table, and the first thing to say is that this paper sets no cookies at all.

The inventory

Nothing else

That is the entire list. No cookie is set by any page of this site, first party or third party, and no other key is written to storage.

Why a card at all, then

Fair question, and the honest answer is that the card is about the one word above and nothing else.

Most such banners exist because a site is about to load a dozen other companies' code and needs to say so. This one has nothing to disclose except itself: it asks whether you mind a single word being kept so that it does not have to ask again.

Decline it and nothing is written. The card closes for the page you are on and will ask again next time, which is the honest consequence of writing nothing rather than a bug.

Turning it off afterwards

Clearing site data for this address in your browser removes the word and the card comes back. There is nothing else of ours to clear anywhere.

Every browser also offers to refuse storage for a site entirely. Doing that costs you nothing here: the paper reads exactly the same, and the only effect is that the card appears on every visit.

What the fare search will set

No third party code loads on any page of this site. Anything the booking service stores, it stores on its own domain after a reader has crossed to it, and it is covered by its notice and not by this one.

When it is live, the search will be operated by an outside booking service on our subdomain, and that service will set whatever it sets under its own notice: at minimum something to carry a search between pages, and in this trade usually something to record which site a search came from, because that is how the commission described on the fare search page is attributed.

The moment it goes live this table gains those rows, with names, and the date below moves. We are not going to write a speculative inventory of somebody else's product and present it as fact.

Advertising and measurement

Neither is on this site. If either is added later, it belongs in this table with a name, a purpose and a duration, and it will be here before it is live rather than after.

Do Not Track and global privacy signals

Both are respected here by the simple route of having nothing to apply them to. No page counts a visit, recognizes a returning reader or builds a profile, so a signal asking us not to do those things is asking for the arrangement that already exists.
